Jimbaran Village is about 15 minutes drive from Bali International airport which is well known as the biggest fishing village in south of Denpasar. The fishes production from this seashore village has be supplying the need of fish for people in Denpasar. The hotels was built in this village since eighties from in fact that this area offer the wide beach, gentle wave that good for swimming and good view of Jimbaran bay.Outside hotels, you will easily to find food stall displaying sort choice of seafood from the low budget of grilled snappers up to high price of Lobsters are available here. Almost all restaurants only offer dinner menu as they also offer the magnificent sunset upon enjoying the foods.
Jimbaran village is laid on the isthmus about 1kilo meter wide where mangrove covers half part of the village in the east side. For long time ago villager hang their living from fishing. This is supported by the gentle wave of the ocean nearby. The main population live in the centre of the village where you can find other tropical plantation like coconut or banana in other part of Bali.
In the south of the village is called Bukit Badung, a limestone hill, dried and can not be growth for normal tropical plantation. One of the Udayana University is built here as a public university for local. Far to the south part is a good place for surfing ; Balangan beach is a rocky surfing point become a paradise for world surfer by the constant wave at all seasons. On the south most of the village, you can find an 11th century temple built picturesquely on the cliff's edge is one of the Sad Kahyangan Temple.
